Adam Gilchrist – “The Greatest”

Charity of choice – Lord’s Taveners Northern New South Wales (LTNNSW)

The greatest wicketkeeper/batsman in the history of cricket comes to life in this magnificent acrylic portrait painting that captures the highlight of Adam’s cricketing career!

The story behind the Painting

In 2004 Adam Gilchrist was named the Australian Test Captain to tour India after Ricky Ponting broke his finger. In the third test in Nagpur, Adam won the toss and decided to bat ... the rest is history as Adam became the skipper of the first successful Australian team to win on Indian soil in thirty-five years!

The original portrait painting is based on a photograph that Adam describes as “The highlight of my career”.
