Layne Beachley is a 7 x World Surfing Champion and is currently the chair of Surfing Australia.

​

She was inducted into the Australian Sports Hall of Fame in 2011 and awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia in 2015 for distinguished services to the community through her work to support a range of charitable organisations, as a mentor for women in sport, and to surfing as a world champion competitor.
